Aquapedia.com, an online, vetted reference tool for all things water, has been launched on the internet by the Sacramento-based Water Education Foundation.
The new free service is fashioned like other on-line encyclopedias.
It offers information on a wide range of water issues and facilities.
The foundation, which examines water matters from all perspectives, said its researchers and writers used the foundation’s resources and other vetted materials to assemble the online reference tool.
Aquapedia.com also offers photos, graphics, videos and interactive maps, along with a water terms glossary, timelines of California water use and a directory of federal and state water agencies. Aquapedia.com also includes an option to search breaking news on its water news blog, Aquafornia.com.
