Regional Advocacy Award Presented

Extensive and effective public policy advocacy work undertaken on water issues and concerns for many years has been recognized through the Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA). An advocacy award was presented to the Friant Water Authority by ACWA’s Region 7, which includes a portion of the San Joaquin Valley. FWA General Manager Ronald D. Jacobsma told the board that Friant is proud of its work in state, regional and local policy making arenas in support of Friant water users. He applauded the efforts of Assistant General Manager Mario Santoyo and Government Affairs Manager Glenn Farrel, who have been active on many fronts, including work with the California Legislature and the offices of Governor Brown and former Governor Schwarzenegger. “They do a great job,”  Jacobsma said.
