Senate OKs Water Resources Measure

U.S. Senators have overwhelmingly voted bipartisan approval of a major water resources bill that would largely benefit U.S. Army Corps of Engineers projects.
The Water Resources Development Act, with $12.5 billion in projects, was approved on an 83-14 vote.
“This type of a bill is not easy to get through,” said Senator Barbara Boxer (D-California), who sponsored the measure. The bill’s House prospects are uncertain.
